Installation of Basic Edition

Does the Basic Edition installation do anything "fancy" with the Windows registry, or environment variables?

I'm working on an application that is going to use SS Basic as the back-end (my app will essentially just report on the scraping results). This will be distributed to several of our locations. I want to make the installation and distribution as painless and easy as possible - will it be possible to simply copy the installation directory of SS to the machine I'm installing to (all the sessions, scripts and everything)? Will it still be functional if I do this? Is there anything I can do manually to make this work?

Thanks!

Adam

Installation of Basic Edition

Hi Adam,

That should work just fine. As long as you install the application in the same folder on each machine (e.g., C:\Program Files\screen-scraper basic edition\), there's no reason you couldn't just zip up the directory, then copy it to the various machines.

Kind regards,
